Largest flowers of the group, pleasantly pink. Round growth habit brings the plant to 30" tall and wide. Blooms May through June. Potential mid-summer dormancy, yet will reflourish with sufficient moisture and shade.

 

Growing & Maintenance Tips for Dicentra spectabilis

Plant in the shaded mixed perennial border or woods edge. Plant with other shade-loving perennials such as Astilbes, Hostas, and ferns that will fill in as the Bleeding Heart foliage goes dormant in the hot summer months. Well-drained soil is essential for the roots to survive the winter.
